PFLAG Fresno is a volunteer group of parents, family and friends of people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT). We welcome all caring persons, including the GLBT community to our meetings and membership. We meet on the second Sunday of each month.

Monthly Meeting

Our next meeting: Sunday, Oct 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m
Program: Drew Harbaugh will present "Trans 101" -- a talk to educate and inform us for better understanding, terminology, and respectful conversation.

PFLAG Fresno is meeting in person again for those who've been vaccinated! We will also be running a Zoom session from the meeting for anyone that hasn't been vaccinated yet or just can't attend in person for other reasons.

PFLAG Fresno meetings are on the 2nd Sunday of every month. We start at 2pm with our program, break halfway through, and then hold the discussion group until the meeting ends at 4pm.

PFLAG is not affiliated with any political or religious group. We pay a nominal rental fee to Wesley United Methodist Church for a meeting room. We find the environment there to be friendly, safe, and non-judgemental.

When attending a meeting you are encouraged to use whatever name you identify as or use an alternate name if your real name is unsafe to display in the meeting. On Zoom your email address will not be visible in the meeting and you always have the ability to turn off your cam if you prefer to not be seen.

Many people don't know where to turn when they find out a loved one is gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender (GLBT). Others don't know where to go when they want to learn ways to support their GLBT friends and family through outreach and advocacy. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) is there for all of these people. Nationwide, PFLAG members provide support and information to counter myths and misinformation about sexual orientation and gender identity. They are a resource to straight and fair-minded aliies who want to join the fight for equality for all. Our message is clear: You have a home in PFLAG.

There is no cost to attend. Paid memberships support this chapter by paying for our rent, help line, and printed materials, but is optional.

PFLAG is a nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any political or religious institution.
