Special Guest: Brian Poth

Brian Poth (pronouns: he, him, his) is the Co-founder and Executive Director of The Source LGBT+ Center. As a young person, he experienced the homophobia of being gender non conforming but excelled in theater and dance. After 30 years in the entertainment industry, he returned home when his sister was battling breast cancer. In 2016 he cofounded The Source with Nick Vargas, and 4 years later The Source is more vital and relevant than ever. Brian lives in Visalia with his partner Jay Waterman and their dog Bradley Cooper.

PFLAG Fresno meetings are on the 2nd Sunday of every month. We start at 2pm with the guest speaker, break about 3pm, and then hold the support group discussion until the meeting ends at 4pm.

Many people don't know where to turn when they find out a loved one is gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender (GLBT). Others don't know where to go when they want to learn ways to support their GLBT friends and family through outreach and advocacy. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) is there for all of these people. Nationwide, PFLAG members provide support and information to counter myths and misinformation about sexual orientation and gender identity. They are a resource to straight and fair-minded aliies who want to join the fight for equality for all. Our message is clear: You have a home in PFLAG.

There is no cost to attend. Paid memberships support this chapter by paying for our rent, help line, and printed materials, but is optional.
